This Company Launched a 420 ‘Potline’ For All Your Cannabis-Related Questions

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

Have a burning question about weed? Call the “potline,” a free service whose only goal is to spread education and 420 cheer. Think of it like the Butterball Thanksgiving turkey hotline only for all things cannabis-related.

Conceived by The Green Organic Dutchman, a Canadian-based sustainable cannabis company whose portfolio includes The Green Organic Dutchman, Highly Dutch Organics, Ripple by TGOD, and Cruuzy, the Highly Dutch Organic Hotline will offer support, advice, and answers to anything that has to do with weed — smoking it, eating it, dabbing it and more.

The free service is available from 9am-9pm EST on 420, the high holiday for stoners everywhere. A panel of industry experts, from budtenders to growers, will be available to answer questions like: What’s a terpene? What’s better, sativa or indica, and does it matter? Is it better to vape or smoke a bong? What’s your favorite flower? If you were a strain, what would it be?

Who you gonna call?

Anyone anywhere can call 1-833-4Highly (1-833-444-4459) or send questions via DM on Instagram (@highlydutchorganic) on April 20. You might get a professional like Andrew Freedman, the Cannabis Sommelier, or Kelsey Cannabis to dish out some info. The only caveat is that you must be of legal age — 21 and over — to participate.

With 420 more popular than ever, and legal weed more accessible across the U.S. and Canada, recreational use is at an all-time high in North America. But education is low. That’s why TGOD decided to offer what they see as a useful service.

“The spirit of 420 has always been to celebrate cannabis with others, and our hotline is here to ensure everyone has access to the information they need on the day,” says vice president of marketing Drew Campbell.  “We’re prepared for any questions, everything from a first-time cannabis user, to breaking down the chemicals of terpene pairings. Our team of experts is here to make it the best 420 it can be.”
